Providing Heat

Bed buddies are microwavable heating pads that uses Velcro and belt like closures to hold their pads in place, heating the area that needs warmth the most.  A Bed Buddy microwave heat pack uses oatmeal and/or rice to provide comforting moist heat sore aching muscles and joints.  You simply pop the pack in the microwave, heat for a couple of minutes and then put it on and let the moist heat work to relieve those muscle aches and pains.

Cold Compress

The Bed Buddy doesn’t just provide heat for those aching muscles and joints. It can also be wrapped in plastic placed in the freezer and used as a cold pack helping to reduce swelling and inflammation.  Having two of these packs allows those who need to use hot and cold therapy to help injuries heal faster.

What The Reviews Have To Say

The reviews for the Bed Buddy products are somewhat mixed.  While most agree these packs work as excellent cold packs, several reviews seem to indicate that the packs simply don’t get warm enough within the heating time to provide penetrating warmth.  However, one reviewer did seem to solve the problem by placing a 1/2 of cup of water in the microwave while heating the body wrap.  And many other users felt that these packs are heated to just the right temperature. Which makes the issue look like a case of expectations rather than any real problem with the product.

Most reviews did state that this product was well made and durable and more than 50% of the users not only stated that they would recommend this product to others, but had actually bought one for those friends and family members who needed the relief that a Bed Buddy could provide.
